Gaining a Superpower – Fat/keto adaptation

A short video about fat adaption where it is basically a process over a period of time where you train your body to use fat as the primary source of fuel instead of using carbohydrates. We are all basically born into ketosis where we are using body fat as our primary source of fuel and then as we grow up we start eating food and carbohydrates such as rice, bread and pasta and the body converts them into glucose and uses it to power the body.

Like a car engine which hasn’t been running for decades, it takes a while of conditioning and repairing and cranking the engine until the engine can run properly again. For me that probably took about 5 weeks of Intermittent Fasting doing a 20/4 set up (20 hour fasting and 4 hour eating window) on a low carb, high fat, high veggie, moderate protein diet to where I think I was over all possible effects of the “keto flu” symptoms and experienced the majority of the benefits outlined in this video.

Being “fat/keto adapted” could be seen like a superpower or biological skill. Once learnt it can be used to take complete control over your eating and what and when you eat. It also makes things like Intermittent Fasting and prolonged fasting pretty easy.
