Kimchi – Get more of it into your diet

I’ve recently decided to include kimchi into my diet after seeing it on a youtube video to do with Salt intake and Probiotics, so decided to do a little digging on the web on the benefits of it:



Whether all of the above “facts” from the youtube videos are true or not is debatable.

I think a general thread of “great source of probiotics” because it is fermented, is not under question though.

Also the Koreans eat lots of it and the have the lowest rates of coronary heart disease (probably by the amount of sodium and potassium they eat from lots of kimchi) is probably a good indication it is a safe bet it is going to be very beneficial for you.

Kimchi is pretty spicy and may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I like it and gives a great kick when you are eating sardines in spring water which don’t have much taste to them (other than a fishy taste).
