I always wondered why I had that idea of a “vegan/vegetarian/plant based” diet as being the “ideal” diet for health came from. Assuming all the facts in this video are correct, religion ideology and beliefs was the basis for shaping the dietetics guidelines and teachings in America/Australia than science. It demonised meat and animal products, and promoted “healthy whole grains” and plant based products. And lots of conflicts of interest by the food companies.
We have been brainwashed. Religion and financial interest shaping dietary guidelines instead of science.
